Built for the Way OPE Shops Actually Work

Most dealer management systems are written for car dealers, RV dealers, or motorcycle shops — then bolted onto OPE as an afterthought. Shop1 was built for outdoor power equipment from day one.

Service Ticket Workflow for Small Engine Repair

Open a ticket from a customer or unit lookup, assign it to a tech, log labor and parts as they happen, print or email a clean invoice when it's done.

Parts Catalog with Aftermarket Cross-References

Track OEM and aftermarket part numbers side-by-side. Supersessions, vendor cross-references, and bin locations work the way OPE shops actually use them.

Warranty Claim Tracking from the Work Order

File OEM warranty claims directly from the service ticket with all the parts, labor, and serial numbers attached. Track approval and reimbursement through to payment.

Cloud-Based, No Server, No IT Department

Runs in any browser on any device. No on-premise install, no Windows-only desktop client, no $5,000 setup fee. Sign up and you're in.

The Real Cost of Running Without a System

Every day without shop management software costs you money you may not even realize you're losing

  • Missed billable labor — technicians forget to log hours, or they get lost in handwritten notes that never make it to the invoice.
  • Parts shrinkage — parts are used on jobs but never billed because there is no system tying parts consumption to work orders.
  • Slow warranty reimbursements — OEM claims get filed late, lose documentation, and take months to pay because nobody owns the process.
  • Customer frustration — nobody can answer "is my machine ready?" without going to find the tech and asking in person.
  • With Shop1: Every labor minute is tracked and billed automatically from tech time entries to the invoice.
  • With Shop1: Parts used on a work order are deducted from inventory and added to the invoice in real time.
  • With Shop1: Warranty claims are created from the work order with all documentation attached and tracked through approval.
  • With Shop1: Every work order has a status. Customers and staff always know exactly where things stand.

Common Questions

Everything you need to know before getting started

Do I need any technical experience to set up Shop1?

No. Shop1 is designed for shop owners and managers, not IT departments. If you can use a web browser, you can run Shop1. Our onboarding team walks you through the initial setup and we offer data import from your existing spreadsheets or competing software.

Does Shop1 work for multiple locations?

Yes. Shop1 supports multiple store locations under a single dealer account with location-aware inventory, separate reporting, and the ability to transfer units or parts between locations.

Can my technicians use it on a tablet in the shop?

Absolutely. Shop1 is fully responsive and works on any modern tablet, phone, or desktop browser. Technicians can clock in and out of jobs, view their assignments, and submit parts requests right from the shop floor.

How much does Shop1 cost?

Shop1 is $49 per month per location, billed monthly. There are no per-user fees, no transaction fees, and no per-work-order fees. The only optional add-on is SMS messaging (a dedicated phone number for two-way customer texts) at $25/month plus a one-time $25 carrier setup fee. The 90-day free trial is full-featured and requires no credit card to start.

What kind of support is included?

Every Shop1 account includes email support, an in-app help center with searchable articles, and a built-in support ticket system. Because we're a small focused team, you'll typically get a response from someone who actually built the software, not a tier-1 call center.

Can I import data from my current system?

Yes. Shop1 has a CSV import for customers, parts, and units — the three biggest data sets you'll bring with you. If your existing software is one of the major OPE/DMS platforms, we can usually help you export the right files. Contact us for help with a specific migration.

Does Shop1 integrate with QuickBooks?

Yes. Shop1 has direct QuickBooks Online integration. Push journal entries from your daily sales, work orders, and invoices straight into QuickBooks — no manual reconciliation, no duplicate entry.
